Description

From left to right:

Lammisch – The Mischievous Pokémon – Dark/Fairy

Mischievous, yet friendly creatures. They like to hang around flocks of sheep. Said to bring luck to those who hear its bell ring.

Lammisch = Lamb + mischievous.

Goatyr – The Shepherd Pokémon – Dark/Fairy

These odd Pokémon will watch over a flock while the shepherd sleeps
at night. They will return to the forest once the shepherd awakes in the morning.

Goatyr = Goat + satyr, also Goatyr sounds a bit like goatee.

Faungora – The Guardian Pokémon – Dark/Fairy

Bringers of luck and guardians of shepherds and farmers. On New Year’s Eve people
dress up like these Pokémon to scare away the evil spirits for the new year.

Faungora – Faun + angora (goat).

Evolutionary line:

Lammisch > level 25 > Goatyr > Moon Stone > Faungora

Background info:

Lammisch, Goatyr and Faungora are based on satyrs, fauns, goats and the folkloristic tradition of the ‘wildemannen’, the Dutch name for it; people dressed up as monsters or weird creatures to scare of the evil spirits around New Year’s Eve or springtime. I wasn’t able to find the English name for these European/Japanese characters. If anyone can help me with that information, that’d be great.

I decided to give them the Dark/Fairy type combo, because fauns and satyrs are sometimes considered to be fairies and fairies, such as leprechauns are known to bring luck. You could consider a Dark-type Pokémon to be a creature of evil or ill omen. Lammisch, Goatyr and Faungora aren’t evil, but have a mischievous and naughty nature, just like some types of fairies and lastly, these Pokémon are mostly active at night.
